Why your AI assistant can't handle your eBox Enterprise
"Can't I just let an AI assistant monitor my eBox for me?" It is a fair question. Government mail is repetitive and AI automation is supposed to be good at exactly this kind of work. The login screen is the issue

You cannot legally hand over your Itsme/eID
For a lot of portals, you can give your AI assistant your login credentials. That does not work for Itsme or eID.
Itsme is tied to one person, one phone number and biometric checks on the smartphone. eID authentication needs the physical card and a PIN only you should hold.
These are not credentials you are meant to share, and they create a clean line of liability straight back to you if anything goes wrong. So even if a generic AI tool could click through the screens, doing it by borrowing your identity is not a setup any serious business should run.
Verification is a feature, not a bug
It helps to remember why the wall exists. These inboxes carry sensitive documents like tax assessments, VAT notices, RSZ correspondence, ... The government made access deliberately hard to fake, because the alternative is anyone scraping confidential company mail.
That is good policy. It is also the precise reason "just point an AI at it" does not work. The verification step that protects you is the same step that blocks any bot trying to log in on your behalf.
So how does anything automate this legally?
